Eat Sleep Play Says ‘At The Moment No Plans To Open Beta To Public’

Recently at an event we got a chance to sit down with one of the producers for Twisted Metal. We decided to ask them regarding the chances of a much wanted beta for the upcoming high-profile title. We were surprised by the answer we actually received.

One thing that is huge this generation is beta’s it allows gamers to try out games online before they buy it. At least that is how it is perceived. To developers a beta is for testing and tweaking of the online infrastructure. Producer of Twisted Metal Drew Bradford recently told us “At the moment there’s no plans for a box in or opening the Beta to the public PSN+ or otherwise. That’s not to say that can’t change but it’s not on Eat Sleep Play to decide that.” He then continued, “Marketing would have to want it and request it.” So there you have it, if you want a beta for Twisted Metal it is looking very Grimm (see what I did there?). However in the end it is up to Sony and the marketing team so hopefully they realize that the fans want it and they put one through.

Twisted Metal is set to release on October 4th exclusively for Playstation 3.

Please Sony, please have a beta. It would be awesome to try Twisted out. Going to get it regardless, but I’d love for Jaffe and co to test this game’s servers before the game comes out, and it’s been ten years since a new Twisted! We need a taste!
