‘Project Scissors’ Unveiled As Spiritual Successor to ‘Clock Tower’

Quietly announcing towards the end of the weekend’s Tokyo Game Show came “Project Scissors” – the spiritual successor to horror franchise “Clock Tower” from back during the 4th – 6th home console generation.

Spear-headed by Clock Tower’s original creator – Hifumi Kouno – alongside creature development by Silent Hill’s own Masahiro Ito and Takashi Shimizu of Ju-On fame, Project Scissors will eventually come to launch on iOS/Android as well as Sony’s PSVita. A live-action trailer is currently in the works with no mention of release.

Project Scissors will retain the series point-and-click adventure/horror style on-board a cruise liner afflicted by strange murders.

We’ll expect it to release closer to the original’s upcoming 20th anniversary. That sounds about right.
